ABS Plastic Rated to UL94:HB
Specifications
- Product Type Title: Rechargeable Sealed Lead Acid Powersports Battery
- Product Group Title: Super Sport - Conventional
- Product Group: Conventional Series
- Product Group Marketing Paragraph: Not every Powersport vehicle needs an AGM battery, for those that don’t Power Sonic offer a range of conventional batteries that are designed to deliver more cranking power and protect against corrosion and vibration. Conventional Powersport batteries are lead acid flooded batteries that need to be filled before first use and then periodically maintained by refilling. Conventional batteries are less expensive that their AGM equivalents, but they do require more maintenance. All conventional battery types are available with or without acid packs. In our conventional series we have low maintenance and high performance types available, as well as batteries suitable for lawn and garden applications.
- Long Term Storage Statement: CONV series batteries may be stored for up to 6 months at 25C (77 F) and then a freshening charge is required. For higher temperatures the time interval will be shorter
- Operating Temperature Range - Charge: 5°F (-15°C) to 104°F (40°C)
- Operating Temperature Range - Discharge: -4°F (-20°C) to 122°F (50°C)
- Dimensional Tolerances: +/- 0.04 in. (+/- 1mm) for length and width +/- 0.08 in. (+/- 2mm) for height dimensions
- Additional Specifications: For the detailed technical specifications please refer to the model's technical document

All Power Sonic batteries are subject to stringent quality control through every step of the manufacturing process ensuring both consistency and reliability.
- Product Description: The CB14L-B2 is part of our Rechargeable Sealed Lead Acid Powersports Battery range of Conventional Series. The 12V, 14.0Ah, and 170A conventional battery offers superior performance to deliver cranking power while protecting against corrosion and vibration. The CB14L-B2 is a conventional flooded lead acid battery required to be filled before first use and maintained after. Our Conventional Series batteries are available with or without acid packs. All Power-Sonic batteries are subject to stringent quality controls through each step of the manufacturing process to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Charging Description: Cycle Applications: Apply constant voltage charge at 2.35VPC – 2.45VPC (14.1 to 14.7 volts for 12V Monobloc) at 20°C. The initial charging current should be set at less than C/5 Amps. Switch to float charge when the current falls to a 3% capacity rate to avoid overcharging.
Stand-By or "Float" Service: Apply constant voltage charge of 2.25VPC – 2.30VPC (13.5 to 13.8 volts for 12V Monobloc) at 20°C. When held at this voltage, the battery will seek its own current level and maintain itself in a fully charged condition.
Temperature Compensation: Charging voltage for both cyclic and stand-by applications should be regulated in relation to ambient temperature. As temperature rises, charging voltage should be reduced to prevent overcharge and increased as the temperature falls to avoid undercharge.
For further charging information, including temperature compensation factors, see the Power-Sonic Technical Manual.
